Committees & Groups
Open the door to your business success with committee and group involvement. Whether your goal is to gain exposure for your business, meet new people, or support the WVCBA community, joining a committee or group may be just what you're looking for.
The WVCBA works on a variety of issues, so chances are there is a committee or group to match your interests and business priorities.

Alliance Ambassadors
The Ambassadors are WVCBA champions whose mission is to cultivate and celebrate our community of new, current, and prospective members. Ambassadors have firsthand knowledge about maximizing WVCBA membership and are committed to sharing their expertise and positive experiences with fellow members and the business community. At our events, Ambassadors are welcoming, networking, and connecting with attendees — don't hesitate to introduce yourself.

Business Advocacy Committee
The mission of the Business Advocacy Committee is to carry out an advocacy program on behalf of WVCBA's membership and business community within the governmental and political arenas. Through strong relationships with elected officials at all levels (city, county, and state), we advocate for the rights of local businesses and take positions on proposed ordinances, rulings, and legislation.

Business Networking Group
The Business Networking Group is a semi-monthly gathering of members that encourages referrals within the group. With just one person from each profession, competition between members is eliminated. Instead, members take the time to learn about each other's businesses and build trust, exchanging quality referrals when opportunities arise.

Connect & Grow Group
The CGG is a non-exclusive business networking group focused on shared lived experiences and joint problem-solving to grow business skills. We believe that when business leaders connect deeply and solve problems together, referrals happen naturally. Space is limited.

Military Appreciation Committee
The mission of the Military Appreciation Committee is to develop positive and productive interaction between the business community and local military installations to facilitate support for our local military members, their families, and their mission. A major focus of the committee is the Military Appreciation Dinner, an annual awards dinner honoring enlisted service personnel.

Political Action Committee(limited attendance)
The WVCBA's Political Action Committee (PAC) represents our dedication to be politically active. The PAC is normally only active every two years during the election cycle. Occasionally ballot measures or office vacancies may activate the group in off-election times. Candidate forums for local and state elections are hosted by the WVCBA PAC. The mission is to seek out, evaluate qualifications of, and endorse candidates for public office who support the ideals of our free enterprise system.

Rising Professionals Group
Rising Professionals provides a platform for the next generation of leaders to build strong connections, meet experienced professionals, and establish themselves in the business community. Free to all WVCBA members under 40. Open to non-members with a fee of $100 a year.
